Temperature-dependent Raman spectra of Ho Mn2 O5 and Tb Mn2 O5
Abstract
The polarized Raman spectra of HoMn2O5 and TbMn2O5 are reported and discussed. Most of the Raman lines corresponding to Γ -point Raman modes (13Ag+13B1g+11B2g+11B3g) have been observed. The temperature dependence of the HoMn2O5 spectra provides no evidence for phonon anomalies associated with magnetic and ferroelectric transitions below 50K .
