How Big Was the Chesapeake Bay Impact? Insight from Numerical Modeling
Abstract
We suggest that the morphology of the CBIC was strongly affected by the strength and rheology of the target rocks, and that the transient cavity formed during the development of the final crater was smaller (~25 km) than previous estimates.
