Application of Co-based Amorphous Alloy Ribbons with Various Thicknesses to a Noise Filter
Abstract
This paper describes the application of Co-based amorphous alloy ribbons with various thicknesses to a noise filter in the MHz-GHz frequency range. The impedance per unit volume increased with increasing thickness in as-prepared ribbons. In contrast, the noise attenuation per unit volume and impedance per unit volume increased with decreasing ribbon thickness in annealed ribbons. We considered that when the ribbon was thin, annealing had a marked stress relief effect. In contrast, when the ribbon was thick, the initial internal stress was small and annealing had little effect.
