N* Properties from the 1/N_c Expansion (An Update)

Recent results for excited baryons from the 1/N_c expansion are discussed. The tower structure that follows from the contracted SU(4)_c symmetry and the mass relations for L = 2 and exotic states are examples that show the importance of excited baryons as non-trivial probes of low energy QCD.
