The stratosphere of Jupiter
Abstract
Observed composition: hydrogen and helium, methane, ethane and acetylene, other hydrocarbons, oxygen compounds, nitrogen, sulfur, and other compounds, spatial and temporal variability; Chemical models: one-dimensional photochemical-diffusive models, hydrocarbon photochemistry, oxygen photochemistry, modeling of the auroral regions, multidimensional modeling; Thermal structure and energy balance: observations, radiative equilibrium models; Meridional transport.
