How Does Titan Retain a Finite Orbital Eccentricity?
Abstract
The present orbital eccentricity of Titan places an upper bound on tidal dissipation within a hydrocarbon ocean, unless an appropriate excitation mechanism is identified. Orbital perturbations from a Jupiter-Saturn near resonance appear adequate.
