Titan's atmosphere and surface from imaging and spectroscopy in the past decade
Abstract
Titan, Saturn's largest satellite and one of the main targets of the Cassini-Huygens space mission, has been parsimoniously unfolding its many secrets in the past few years, regarding its nitrogen-methane atmosphere and the mysterious surface hidden underneath a thick haze veil. On the eve of the mission's arrival, the scientific community is synchronising its efforts to goad Titan into revealing vital information in connection with the formation and evolution of the whole solar system.
