Fission Barrier Physics, Resonance Fluctuations and Isomer Fission Cross-Sections
Abstract
Although the main picture of fission barrier physics was established some time ago many of the details still have to be settled. Consequently, the application to evaluation of cross-sections of unmeasurable or exotic nuclides and their excited states is still in its early stages. In this paper I consider some of these details and explore the possibility of quantitative estimation of fission cross-sections. Special examples include the isomer of 235U and 232U.
