Dpoae Phase Pattern:. Evidence for a Low Frequency Resonance in the f2 Place
Abstract
When frequencies of the DPOAE recorded from guinea pigs change in a region about a half of an octave below f2 then the DPOAE phase behaviour is similar to the behaviour of the phase of a single tone in the vicinity of its CF place. This may signal the presence of a nonlinear low-frequency resonance in the cochlea. The resonance corresponds to another normal mode of vibration of the organ of Corti - TM complex.
