Investigation of structural stability, physical and mechanical properties of nitrogen-free and nitrogen-containing austenitic alloys of the Fe-Cr-Mn system at low temperatures
The mechanical characteristics of the Fe-Cr-Mn and Fe-Cr-Mn-0.15 N systems have been studied at 77 K (for 20 - 50 % Mn and 0 - 15 % Cr). The phase diagrams of these alloys were plotted on cooling to 77 K and after deformation at this temperature. As the comparative analysis shows, in the 0.15 N alloys, the relative elongation, compression and impact strength decrease with a simultaneous increase in the yield strength and ultimate strength. In the N2 - containing alloys the stability of γ-phase becomes stronger.
