Experimental Analysis of the Fast Magnetic Reconnection with the Current Sheet Ejection
Abstract
We confirmed significant increase in the magnetic reconnection rate caused by a new phenomenon called the current sheet ejection. We focused on the relation between the shape distortion of the current sheet and the reconnection rate (inflow velocity), and concluded that a new simple current sheet model explain our experimental results qualitatively using mass conservation law.
