Studies of Barium Ion Mobility in Liquid Xenon
Abstract
Preliminary measurements of the mobility of barium ions in gaseous and liquid xenon have been made for developing an identification method of the decay daughter of zero neutrino double beta decay. The mobility of barium ions has been measured to be 0.27 cm2/Vs in gaseous xenon and 0.4 cm2/kVs in liquid xenon.
