An Introduction to QCD at Non-Zero Temperature and Density

An overview aimed at non specialists who wish to follow the current literature: a brief outline of field theory thermodynamics is followed by a survey of the main theoretical idea and results on the QCD phase diagram. The lattice approach is then discussed, with emphasys on nonzero baryon density.
