Diffractive ρ0 Production at Hermes

Spin-dependent ρ⁰ production has been studied at the HERMES experiment at HERA. Recent results on the cross section and the spin density matrix elements of diffractive exclusive ρ⁰ production are compared to world data and theoretical predictions. The double-spin asymmetry of exclusive diffractive ρ⁰ production is found to be consistent with the theoretical expectation based on the Generalized Vector Meson Dominance description of both ρ⁰ production and inclusive DIS.
