On spacetimes with 3parameter isometry group in stringinspired theory of gravity
Abstract
Cylindrically symmetric stationary spacetimes are examined in the framework of stringinpired generalized theory of gravity. In four dimensions this theory contains a dilatonic scalar field in addition to gravity. A charged perfect fluid representing fermionic matter is also considered. Explicit solution is given and a discussion of the geometrical properties of the solutions found is carried out.
