Towards Far from Stability with Big ge Arrays
Abstract
Isospin mixing phenomena and mirror symmetry have been investigated in the mass A ≈ 50-70 region, using the GASP and EUROBALL γ-detector arrays. The measure of the electric dipole strength of an isospin forbidden transition in 64Ge has allowed a direct determination of the isospin mixing amplitude. The excited structures of the Tz = 0 70Br and Tz = -1/2 67Se nuclei have been identified for the first time. Detailed spectroscopical information has also been obtained for the N = Z = 33 66As. New data for even-even N = Z nuclei up to A = 88 confirm the delay in the crossing frequency of the S-band, which was reported as possible evidence for the pn pairing mode.
