We discuss some of the results obtained by BeppoSAX on the spectral variability TeV blazars. In particular we show the case of the two TeV BL Lac objects Mkn 421 and Mkn 501. For the latter source it has been possible to study the long-term spectral variability over three years, while for Mkn 421 we show results obtained during two campaignes held in 1998 and 2000. One of the most important features shown by both sources is a clear correlation between the position of the synchrotron peak and the luminosity. We discuss a possible phenomenological scenario for this behaviour.
