Topology of Chemical Ordering in Sb-S-Ge System
Abstract
The variation of the atomic volume, Va, with the average coordination number, mav for the glasses belonging to the system Sb-S-Ge is investigated. It has been found that there is a slight negative shift from the Tanaka's threshold generally observed for chalcogenide glasses. This deviation from the general trend is explained on the basis of the formation of ionocovalent bonds due to presence of heavy metal Sb.
