Magnetic flux generation in YBCO thin film loop with a single shot femtosecond optical pulse
Abstract
The optical control of magnetic flux in superconducting thin-film loops with a single shot femtosecond optical pulse has been demonstrated. The mechanism is attributed to ultrafast optical supercurrent modulation without phase transition. The optically generated flux is semi-qualitatively evaluated by estimating the amount of the persistent supercurrent circulating along the loop.
