Magnetoplasmons and band nonparabolicity in two-dimensional electron gas
Abstract
A different formalism is proposed to derive the magnetoplasmon dispersion curves of a two-dimensional electron gas in strong magnetic fields for arbitrary values of the filling factor and in presence of band nonparabolicity effects. These effects are found to be responsible for pronounced nonlinear magnetoplasmon dispersion associated with spectacular changes in the infrared activity of these modes.
