Canonical sequence method applied to the anisotropic Heisenberg lattice
Abstract
Recently, Šamaj et al. [J. Phys. A 30 (1997) 1471] have constructed a novel calculational scheme, the Canonical Sequence Method (CSM) based on the well-known t-expansion of Horn and Weinstein. Here we apply this method to study the ground-state of the s= {1}/{2} anisotropic Heisenberg antiferromagnet for the linear chain (whose exact ground-state is known), as well as the honeycomb, simple cubic and body-centered cubic lattices. Comparisons are made with the results of Lee and Lo [J. Phys. C 6 (1994) 7075].
