Transport in Fermi and Luttinger liquids in random time- and space-dependent potential
Abstract
We study the effect of the random time- and space-dependent potential on transport in Fermi and Luttinger liquids. We calculate conductance and noise for different types of the correlation function of the random potential. We apply our theory to the problem of spectral flow in superconductors and nanomechanical devices consisting of a nanotube moving above a rough surface. These results extend the recent study of the effect of a single time-dependent point impurity on the conductance of a quantum wire [1]. [1] D.E. Feldman and Y. Gefen, e-print cond-mat/0104558
