Zero-Bias Conductance Peak in Charge Denisty Wave Tunneling
Abstract
We consider the problem of electron tunneling into charge-denisty wave compounds. We show that soliton edge states are formed at the surface with the energy inside the CDW gap. The mechanism is similar to the formation of Andreev bound states in Hi-Tc superconductors. Recent tunneling experiments are interpreted using this mechanism.
