Nuclear Structure Studies of Fast Exotic Beams with γ-RAY Detector Arrays
Abstract
The production of fast radioactive beams from intermediate-energy fragmentation has opened new regions of exotic nuclei near the driplines for study. Results of recent Coulomb excitation and one-neutron knockout reaction experiments performed at the NSCL are presented as examples of nuclear structure studies. The future prospects of Coulomb excitation and knockout reaction experiments are also discussed.
