Non-Singlet Structure Function of the 3HE-3H System and Divergence of the Gottfried Integral
Abstract
We study nuclear shadowing for the flavor non-singlet structure function F2{3_ He} -F2{3_ H}. The violation of isospin symmetry for the 3He and 3H wave functions induces, via nuclear shadowing terms, the charge symmetry breaking for F2{3_ He} and F2{3_ H} which significantly increases, at small x, F2{3_ He} -F2{3_ H} over F2p -F2n and leads to the divergence of the Gottfried integral.
