Heat Equation and Spectral Geometry:. Introduction for Beginners

These notes contain an introduction into the theory of ζ-determinants of Dirac operators. We discuss here the simplest possible case of the operator on S¹. We study in details the necessary facts from the theory of Heat Equations concentrating more specifically on the small time asymptotics of the trace of the kernel of the Heat Operator.
