Production of Superheavy Elements in Heavy Ion Reactions

The cold fusion reactions leading to superheavy elements (SHE) with Z = 104-116 have been discussed in our model recently ³. In this paper we shortly discuss our model and extend our consideration to fusion reactions (⁸⁶Kr, ⁸⁷Rb, ⁸⁸Sr) + ²⁰⁸Pb and ⁸⁶Kr + ²⁰⁹Bi leading to elements with Z = 118-120 and production of SHE in reactions with similar target and projectile. The available experimental cross-sections are well described.
