The Columbia-RIKEN-BNL QCDSP Supercomputer Project
Abstract
In this discussion, I wish to report on some recent progress on lattice QCD made by the QCDSP group. This is a collaboration between the Columbia theory group and physicists from the RIKEN BNL Research Center (RBRC) and the Brookhaven National Laboratory. While I am not a member of the QCDSP group, both the Columbia theory group and RBRC are under my direction. The RIKEN-BNL-Columbia QCD project has recently completed a combined 1.1 teraflops parallel processor supercomputer. Currently, it ranks number 8 globally. Last year, it was awarded the Super-Computer Gordon Bell Prize for Price Performance.
