Dose reduction in medical X-ray imaging using noise free photon counting
Abstract
A novel technology based on photon counting gaseous detectors has been developed for medical X-ray imaging applications. The technology allows a significant dose reduction over existing screen-film systems. A position resolution of 50 μm has been observed.
