Continuum Tamm-Dancoff Approximation Calculation of Λ-HYPERNUCLEUS Production Cross Sections

Calculations of the Λ-hypernucleus production cross section for the (π⁺, K⁺) reaction are done including Λ - N^-1 correlations in the continuum Tamm-Dancoff approximation. The formalism allows us to calculate the wave function of Λ in nuclei for both bound and continuum states. The quasi-free peak is reproduced by using an energy dependent Λ - N^-1 interaction. The Λ knock-out and the spreading modes are separated and are compared with the coincidence data.
