Dynamic electric field maps of point charge moving with constant velocity
Abstract
Conventional electric field maps of a uniformly moving point charge depict the time-independent electric field co-moving with the charge. Much more important is, however, the time-dependent electric field of the moving charge as it is seen by a stationary observer. This field can be depicted by "dynamic field maps" whose properties and the method of construction are described in this article.
