New Variables on the Edge of the Northern Milky Way - Paper 1: BeV1-30

These new variable stars were discovered as part of a search programme to find short-period variables in fields on the edge of the northern milky way. Only half of the new variable stars discovered are short-period variables, eclipsing binaries, RR Lyrae stars etc while the other half are apparently late-type variables.
