Yes, the Sun is located near the corotation circle
Abstract
The total component velocity field of Cepheids was analysed in terms of a disk galaxy model perturbed by spiral density waves. The main result is: the Sun is situated very close to the corotation resonance where the rotation velocities of the disk and of the spiral pattern coincide. The displacement Delta R of the Sun from the corotation circle is: Delta R ~ 0.1 kpc.
