We analyse the effects of the environment on the molecular gas content of galaxies in the Coma cluster by comparing their H2 gas content to the one of a complete, optically selected sample of isolated galaxies. Contrary to the HI gas, the late-type galaxies in Coma are not deficient in molecular gas. In isolated galaxies the H2 is only ~ 10-20% of the atomic gas content. Late-type systems in rich clusters such as Coma will exhaust their gas reservoir in the next ~ 10 9 years, a time which is a factor of ~ 5-10 shorter than for field objects.
