The unsaturated magnetism in the U = ∞ Hubbard ladder model
Abstract
The ground state energy and the ground state spin in the double-chain Hubbard model with infinite interaction are calculated using the variational wave function in the matrix-product form. The critical electronic density is determined below which the Nagaoka state is unstable. There is a region of the electronic density where the ground state with the intermediate spin exists.
