On the o-H_2/p-H_2-Ratio in Shocks
Abstract
New C-shock model computations are presented in which the population of H_2 levels as well as the o-H_2/p-H_2-ratio (OPR) are in a stationary state. Previous models assumed a fixed OPR and a level population that is in thermal equilibrium. Here it is shown that this is not appropriate for shocks of low speeds.
