Next generation antiproton facilities
Abstract
A prospect for future antiproton facilities in the post-LEAR era is presented. The Antiproton Decelerator (AD) project, proposed as a reduced version of the LEAR complex, will be realized immediately after the scheduled closure of LEAR and regarded as the nearest intermediate step. In the long term scale a new antiproton facility will be created in connection with the proposed 50 GeV high-intensity proton synchrotron of the Japanese Hadron Project.
