The L1448 SiO jet
Abstract
We present a \siovo du inteferometer image of the red-shifted outflow lobe from the Class 0 protostar L 1448-mm. The image, a 5-field mosaic obtained with the IRAM interferometer has an angular resolution of ~3{\as}. The SiO emission, highly-collimated extends over 0.2 pc and consists of four main blobs. By comparison with a kinematical model of bow-shock, we find that most of the SiO clumps delineate partial bow-shock structures. However, important SiO emission is also seen along the jet axis itself. Clearly, the material traced by the SiO emission is very closely linked to this primary jet.
