Mass distribution of the Lyrid meteoroid stream from forward-scatter meteor observation

Lyrid meteoroid stream data obtained by a forward-scatter radio equipment in 1992--1996 are analyzed and discussed from the point of view of the mass distribution of meteoroids in the stream. The mass exponent of the Lyrids was found to be s = 1.93 which is a higher value than the value derived from previous backscatter observations and is in a substantially better agreement with the population index "r" resulting from visual observations.
