ROSAT survey: the Einstein EMSS galaxy clusters revisited.
Abstract
The Einstein Medium Sensitivity Survey galaxy clusters have been observed by the ROSAT PSPC during the All Sky Survey. Data from a region of 40'×40' around each cluster position have been analysed to determine X-ray flux and brightness distribution. Due to the all-sky coverage performed by ROSAT a sensible choice of the background level was possible to enable a more precise determination than previously of the source extension for all clusters in this sample. In addition, some spectral information is available for these sources. A comparison with the Einstein results is illustrated in detail.
