On the "s" and "d" wave symmetry in high-T c cuprate superconductors
Abstract
It is shown that the best recent tunneling data in the superconducting cuprates can quantitatively be accounted for by assuming that two order parameters of s- and d-symmetry are present. This assumption also comprises two coherence lengths that differ by nearly an order of magnitude. Owing to this difference, specific tunneling experiments clearly differentiate between the two order parameters. Furthermore, it is also pointed out that other experimments either integrate or differentiate between the two components.
