The Influence of Rotation on the Steady State of Electron-Positron Plasma in the Pulsar Magnetosphere
Abstract
Rotation effects on the steady state of electron-positron plasma of the coaxial rotator magnetosphere in the open force lines region are studied. It is shown that together with the corotation steady state, there exists a differential rotation state which is characterized by considerable influence of a centrifugal force. Lorentz-factor and other parameters of this state are evaluated and the conclusion is made that in real conditions of the pulsar magnetosphere the state may be realized at a sufficient distance from the star surface near the rotation axis. Distinction in relativistic particles motion leads to different (undulator of curvature) mechanisms of their emission.
