Mössbauer conversive spectroscopy of radiation defects in gamma-irradiated magnetic garnets
Abstract
The Effect of 60Co gamma-irradiation on the crystalline structure and electronic state of iron ions in ferrite-garnet films was studied with the help of Mössbauer conversive spectroscopy. It was found that, under irradiation, the charge exchange of oxygen vacancies takes place. This is one of the causes of the increase of the effective magnetic anisotropy field of such films.
