Decay estimates and energy bounds for porous elastic cylinders
Abstract
The paper is concerned with the theory of elastic materials with voids established by Nunziato and Cowin [1]. First, we derive decay estimates in a linear isotropic homogeneous elastic nonprismatic cylinder in the framework of the equilibrium theory. Then, we use the method introduced by Flavin, Knops and Payne [8] in order to establish energy bounds for the theory of steady vibrations, as well for the dynamical theory.
