Measurement of the Top Quark Mass at D-Zero
Abstract
The DO experiment has recently reported the discovery of the standard model top quark in proton-antiproton collisions with a center of mass energy of 1.8 TeV, based on an integrated luminosity of approximately 50 pb^{ -1} accumulated during the period 1992-1995. This work describes a measurement of the mass of the top using the lepton + jets channels of this data. The result is m_{t} = 199_sp{-21 }{+19}rm (stat.)_sp{-21 }{+14}(syst.) GeV/c^2 .
