Search for Sigma(c) Baryon Going to Lambda(c) Baryon Pion Using Lambda(c) Baryon Going to Sigma(s) Baryon Pion Pion in 250 GEV Negative Pion-Nucleon Interactions.
Abstract
Combined cross-section times branching fraction limits are given for Sigma_sp{c }{++}towedge_sp{c }{+}pi^+ and Sigma_sp{c}{0}to wedge_sp{c}{+}pi ^- where wedge_sp{c }{+}toSigma_sp{s }{+/-}pi^{mp }pi^+. The wedge _sp{c}{+} is reconstructed with partial information on the Sigma_ {s} the missing Sigma_ {s} momentum is established through momentum conservation imposed by a constrained fit. The data are of pi^- beam interactions at 250 GeV from Fermilab experiment E769.
