Two-Photon Production of Charmonium States
Abstract
Using data collected with the CLEO-II detector, at the CESR e^{+}e^{ -} storage ring operating on or near the Upsilon(4S) resonance, we study the exclusive production of charmonium states produced in e^ {+}e^{-} quasi-real two -photon collisions. Employing a dataset boasting an e ^{+}e^{-}-luminosity of 3.0 +/- 0.03 fb^ {-1}, we search for two-photon production of the eta_{c}, chi _{c0} and chi_ {c2} mesons. We measure two-photon widths of rm 4.3+/-1.0+/-0.7+/-1.4 keV, 1.7+/-0.6+/-0.4+/- 0.3 keV and 0.7 +/-0.2+/-0.1+/-0.2 keV for the eta_{c}, chi_{c0} and chi _{c2} respectively.
