The Spatial Distributions of SO and N2H(+) in Taurus Molecular Cloud-1 (TMC-1)
Abstract
Mapping observations were carried out toward the dark cloud, Taurus Molecular Cloud-1 (TMC-1) with the SO J_N=3_2--2_1 and N_2H(+) J=1--0 lines using the Nobeyama 45-m radiotelescope. Several local maximum positions of the SO and N_2H(+) line intensities were found in the TMC-1 ridge. The lines of SO and N_2H(+) are found to be more intense in the northwest part of the TMC-1 ridge than in the southeast part, showing that the spatial distributions of these species are rather well correlated with that of NH_3, and are anti-correlated with those of carbon-chain molecules. Based on considerations of the synthetic mechanisms of SO and N_2H(+) , their spatial distribution in TMC-1 can be explained mainly due to the differences in the chemical evolutionary stages between the northwest and southeast regions in TMC-1.
