Effective potentials method for magnetic models with next-nearest-neighbor interactions
Abstract
The method of Floría and Griffiths for solving effective potentials has been implemented for the case of next-nearest-neighbor interactions, in the context of an XY spin chain under a twofold, single-ion anisotropy. We describe the algorithm in detail and then we show the calculated phase diagram of the model at T = 0.
