Giant magnetoresistance of Co/Cu superlattice under high pressure
Abstract
The magnitude of giant magnetoresistance (GMR) of the (Co10 Å/Cu10 Å) 15 superlattice has been measured up to 20 kbar. It is found that the electrical resistivity ϱ decreases with increasing pressure at room temperature, having the rate ϱ-1∂ϱ. ∂P = -22 ×10 -2 kbar -1. The magnetoresistance (MR) ration δϱ/ϱ 5 at 4.2 K slightly decreases with increasing pressure. The saturation field H5 also decreases with increasing pressure.
